I am currently working on an app that I co-founded called Claimr

Claimr is a webapp that walks you step by step through the process of filing a small claim. My co-founder and I came up with the idea after I was scammed by another business and wanted to take them to small claims. We found that lawyers can be expensive and the filing process can be confusing. We wanted to create a service that helps you manage a small claim on your own.

I am handling the development side of the app and all things technical. Our service is free for anyone to use the basic functionality and we offer a subscription model to unlock the full list of features. We are currently looking to raise our pre-seed round of funding to continue development and implement new features within the app.

I ran a startup called Unity Cashouts

Unity Cashouts was a B2B trading platform that connected resellers with wholesalers, distributors and bulk buyers. In the first 9 months of business we grew our network of resellers and buyers to over 500 users, reaching 8-figure revenues. We dealt mainly with consumer goods, specifically consumer electronics like gaming consoles and sportswear such as sneakers. Our main warehouse was located in Markham, Ontario and we had trade partners from all across the world.

At its peak I grew the team to 3 people to handling accounting, warehousing and logistics while I oversaw day to day operations. Through this business, I developed communicaton skills, learned a lot about finances and overall gained a deeper understanding around entrepreneurship. As business recently slowed down, I closed the business in July of 2024 to free up my time to work on new ideas.

March 2021 - July 2024

Amazon FBA, eBay, StockX

Throughout college and the pandemic, I ran a few e-commerce resell businesses which eventually became my full-time income. This business activity led to the idea of Unity Cashouts as a service, but before then I operated as a sole-proprietor as a smaller buy and resell business. I consistently reached 7-figure revenues monthly and was able to buy my first house at the age of 21.

I had partnered with a few different suppliers and vendors in the GTA that I sourced most of my inventory from. We also did a lot of B2B trading with businesses like Dell, Lenovo, Keurig and retailers like Best Buy, Walmart and London Drugs. Business really picked up during the Pandemic and I eventually dropped out of College to make this my main focus.

Seneca College

When I eventually decided to return to school, I decided to start a 4 year Bachelor of Technology in Software Development program. I attended Seneca College for the first year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Toward the end of my first year, I started a small resell business that eventually became my full time focus, leading me to dropout after one successful year.

In my one year at Seneca, I took technical courses that covered C++ programming, web development, databases and had a mix of other courses like accounting and business. The knowledge I gained here ultimately helped me create my future business ventures where I applied a lot of what I learned.

Warehousing Job

After I lost my conditional offer to York University, I found a warehousing job for a local e-commerce company. While I started as a warehouse worker, my role eventually turned into a highly responsible position of trust as the "Incoming Lead" where I managed the team and operations for all incoming inventory. The owners took a "gamble" on me by giving me an environment where I could grow and I proudly made the most of the opportunities.

It was at this job where I developed close relationships with the owners who eventually became valued friends and mentors of mine. Exposure in this industry pivoted my interests into entrepreneurship and it was them who helped me develop my future business models. To this day, they offer valuable help and resources to my business and personal life.

High-school

While most kids focus on academic achievements in high-school, I was someone who focused focused on working on my own narrative. I excelled in the computer programming courses and decided to work toward getting accepted into Computer Science in post secondary. In grade 12, I accepted a conditional offer from York University that I eventually couldn't attend due to a low grade 12 physics mark.

Through-out high-school, I found great interest in technology and hacking. My notable projects are listed below but include car hacking technologies, video game scripts and 3D printing and design. These interests were my main focus and was mostly what I was focused on instead of academics. Admittedly, I spent a lot of time working a part-time job as well to fund these interests.

Boston Pizza

In the summer of 2015, my sister got me a job at a sit-down franchise called Boston Pizza. I started as a dishwsher before moving into the kitchen as a line cook. I discovered my passion for cooking and eventually worked my way to all the positions in the restaurant including kitchen manager, front-of-house manager and community relations coordinator. My favourite part about this industry is 1) creating beautiful, tasty and presentable dishes and 2) serving guests and providing memorable experiences.

I unfortunately had to leave this job behind due to labour disputes with the owner. Today, I tell people all the time if it weren't about the money, I'd choose to be a full-time chef as my life long career. It was here where I developed my culinary interests that eventually led to my creating my own seasoning brand. It was also here where I was able to develop strong leadership, communication and management skills.
